Mari Vanna Restaurant, Knightsbridge – Bespoke Fibrous Plaster Ceiling
Project Details
Location:
Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7PJ
Project Type:
Bespoke Ceiling, Bespoke Moulding
The Mari Vanna Restaurant, Knightsbridge, London – had their fibrous plaster ceiling created when the owners wanted to set up a new restaurant to compliment the existing locations in New York and Moscow.
In the aim to maintain the very specific Interior design arrangements of these other existing Restaurants we were provided with the original design concepts. From these illustrations a series of hand carved moulds were created to manufacture the elaborate fibrous plaster ceiling decorations as well as the fine bespoke Cornices.
Attention to design detail was of utmost importance to ensure the correct realisation and alignment of the many different moulding dimensions and profiles.
Due to the nature and quantity of details used to create the completed ceilings much of the finish was achieved with single element application on site and so building the completed decoration piece by piece, culminating with the major centre decoration which was moulded, cast and fitted as a single item.
These details all come together to create a spectacular finish which we are very proud to have been involved with.
Thus maintaining our historic involvement with the great and varied Restaurants of London’s West End with previous completed projects including such famous establishments as:
- Quo Vadis
- The Mirabelle
- Wheelers of St James
- Titanic
- Red Cube
- Frankies
